Community guidelines
StitchLab Designs is a place to share what we stitch, learn from each other and cheer each other on. These few rules keep it friendly for everyone, from first-time stitchers to people who've digitized for years.
Be respectful
- Treat everyone the way you'd want to be treated across a sewing table. Disagree kindly.
- No insults, harassment, bullying, threats or hate of any kind.
- No swearing or crude words. StitchLab refuses posts with the worst of them, but the spirit matters more than the list.
Share your own work
- Share designs, photos and words you made yourself, or that you have the right to share.
- Don't upload other people's or companies' designs, even ones you bought: they belong to their makers.
- Licensed characters, sports teams, logos and brands may be taken down when their owners ask.
- Give credit when your design is based on someone else's (a remix), and follow their license.
Keep it family-friendly
- Words and photos should be fine for all ages: no nudity, sexual content, gore or shocking pictures.
- Photos of your makes should show your stitching. Leave out other people's faces unless they've said yes.
- Don't share anyone's personal details (addresses, phone numbers, emails), including your own in public posts.
Contribute
- Reviews help most when they're honest and useful: how it sewed, your machine, fabric, stabilizer and thread, what you'd do differently.
- Thank designers, answer questions, post photos of your makes. That's what makes a community.
- One design per page, your best ones: no piles of near-copies.
No spam or selling
- Don't advertise, post links to shops or ask for money in reviews, replies or messages.
- Don't send the same message to lots of people, or messages people didn't ask for.
Messages
- Private messages are for friendly questions and conversations between stitchers.
- You can turn messages off (Messages, or Edit profile) and block anyone. They aren't told.
When something's wrong
Use Report on a design, post, profile or message. Reports come straight to us; a reported message's words are included so we can judge it. We may remove posts or designs that break these guidelines, and close the accounts of people who keep doing so. For a copyright problem, email [email protected] with the design's address and why it's yours.
These guidelines are part of our Terms. Questions or ideas: [email protected].
